IMPORTANT UPDATE
There was a significant fire at the Buck & Birch head office and production unit at MacMerry Industrial Estate on 7th April 2025. Our team worked closely with attending emergency services and we thank them for their efforts in successfully bringing the fire under control. We are relieved that no one was hurt in the incident. At present we have no indication as to the cause of the fire and this is currently under investigation, however emergency services have reassured us that there are no suspicious circumstances.
'We are devastated by this event, which unfortunately has destroyed our production facilities and all current stock and ingredients. We are deeply thankful for the support of our board, our team, our network of customers and our friends in the wider food and drink sector in East Lothian and across Scotland, many of whom have been in touch with messages of support.
We are urgently considering all options open to us as to how we continue the business and brand that we have spent the past 10 years building. It is too early to say how we will do this, but we are grateful for the patience and support of our wonderful community of friends, partners and customers over the months ahead.
