The Wild Negroni featuring Aelder liqueur

Tom, one of our co-founders at Buck and Birch, has transformed your typical pre-dinner aperitif into a richer and more contemplative digestif using the wild Scottish exotic.

A single serve of Wild Negroni is made with:

  • 50ml of our BIRCH Premium Vodka.
  • 25ml of our Aelder Liqueur for rich sweetness and dark fruit flavour.
  • For this serving, Tom prefers a splash of Cocchi Dopo Teatro amaro vermouth to give herbal bitterness and spice notes.
  • Orange rind for aroma and garnish.


Here are the steps:

 

  1. Pour 50ml of BIRCH Premium Vodka into a mixing glass. Add 25ml of Aelder Liqueur for a touch of rich sweetness and dark fruit flavour.
  2. Add a splash of Cocchi Dopo Teatro amaro vermouth for herbal bitterness and spicy notes.
  3. Stir the ingredients with ice until well chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into a chilled rocks glass over fresh ice.
  5. Twist a strip of orange rind over the glass to release its aroma, then drop it in as garnish.
